January 31st
1. Juniors and Seniors-If you would like to sign up to attend “To Kill a Mockingbird” at the Fox the evening of March 1st, please sign up with Mr. Hurst or Mrs. Bowen by February 7th. There is no cost to attend outside of buying dinner, but there will be a drawing next Tuesday after school if there are more people who sign up than we have tickets.
2. FBLA District Leadership Conference Attendees, the conference has been rescheduled for Monday, February 13. Plan to be ready at school by 7:00 AM that morning dressed in professional business attire.
3. FBLA members - please bring in candy for the elementary students by February 7.
4. Spanish Club meeting today during CAT time.
5. Spanish Club is selling Carnations for Valentine's day. Buy a carnation for a friend or that “special someone” in your life. Carnations will be sold for $2 a piece and can be purchased from Mrs. Pierce before school, after school, or during CAT time. Pre-order is due by this Friday, February 3rd.
6. FCA Officer Meeting this Friday during CAT time
7. A representative from Josten’s will be on campus tomorrow Feb. 1st to meet with the sophomore class about class rings. They will return on February 8th to take orders.
8. Final Four Football shirts are in the office. If you placed an order - please pick up today!

The JV/Varsity Girls game at Fulton HS on Wednesday will start at 5:00 pm. JV will tip off at 5:00 and varsity will follow.

Attention all JRS and SRS: A representative from Emery Sapp & Sons will be here today at 1:30 to do a presentation in the auditorium about the company’s school-to-work program. There are many career options with this company: labor, equipment operator, engineer, accountant, business positions, etc. If you are off campus in the afternoon for Job Shadowing or Internship, please make plans to see this presentation at 1:30.

BGHS will be hosting a speech tournament on Feb 11th. Mrs. Alsup is looking for interested students that want to participate. It is a great opportunity for practicing your speech skills! Please see Mrs. Alsup in Room 18 for more information.
Freshmen: Mrs. Smith has only received about half of your course selection sheets for next year. If you do not turn them in, you will be put in random classes that you do not want to take. Please get them turned in ASAP!
Freshmen: Happy Notes are due to your CAT Time teacher this Wednesday. Please see Mrs. Smith if you would like some more to write to your peers.
