The Bowling Green Middle School will present a program honoring all Veterans on Friday, November 8, 2024. The Middle School Student Lighthouse Council organizes the program and wants everyone in the area to know that they are welcome to participate in this event. Before this program, the Bowling Green Middle School Student Lighthouse Council will host a luncheon in the middle school gymnasium for veterans, veteran’s spouses, and spouses of deceased veterans. This luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Veterans and their spouses/guests and spouses of deceased veterans may begin the day with coffee and socializing in the middle school cafeteria at 11:00 a.m. Veterans, veteran’s spouses, or spouses of deceased veterans that plan to attend the luncheon and program are asked to contact the Bowling Green Middle School office at 573-324-2181 by Thursday, October 31, 2024. If students are eating with a veteran, they must stay and help with the clean-up.

Each month we want to recognize a student from each grade level who exemplifies a positive characteristic that we look for in all of our students. They must also have at least 95% attendance, 0 office referrals, and 0 F's for the month. Once they have met these qualifications they are voted on by staff. September's Characteristic is Responsibility Congratulations to our September Middle School Students of the Month!!! 6th Grade-Brock Chance 7th Grade-Adelia Becker 8th Grade-Macie Turner

BGMS Artist of the Week The Artists have been busy and working hard this school year to create their masterpieces. The 8th grade Art class has just finished their printmaking project. They used traditional brayers (rollers) and carving tools to create their designs on linocuts. The students had to pick a subject matter that demonstrated texture. They were required to create four prints and pick the best 2 for matting. Wyatt Bair did a fantastic job with his printmaking piece. His character is whimsical, and his linocuts have a raw texture, which makes the piece come to life. Wyatt titled his print “Crazy Art.” He is a very hard worker in the Art Studio! Keep up the amazing work!!
