Mrs Walker’s April Rock Star - Finn Morrison

Each month we want to give a shout out to the staff members who make BGMS so special! Here's this month's Staff Spotlight!!!

A speaker from The Child Advocacy Center will be presenting a sexual abuse awareness program to the middle school. Missouri State Statute 170.045 requires school districts to provide this training each year to every student in grades 6th -12th. It will be age appropriate. Please read the attached letter for more information. Only return the letter to the office if you DO NOT want your child to participate.

Reminder-current 6th and 7th grade students class selection sheets for next year are due Wednesday April 30th to Mrs. Bowman. If they need another copy they may stop by the counseling center.

Social Club will meet tomorrow, Monday April 28th afterschool until 4:15.

Each month we want to recognize a student from each grade level who exemplifies a positive characteristic that we look for in all of our students. They must also have at least 95% attendance, 0 office referrals, and 0 F's for the month. Once they have met these qualifications they are voted on by staff. March's Characteristic is Patience. Congratulations to our March Middle School Students of the Month!!! 6th Grade-Maverick Simonton, 7th Grade-Colbie Adkison, 8th Grade-Makalynn Brewer.

Due to some printing issues with Infinite Campus, we will not be sending progress reports home. You can log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal to check your student’s current grades. If you are unable to access the information, please contact our office, and we will be happy to assist you. We apologize for the inconvenience as we maneuver the new program.

It's that time of year again that we are getting ready for the 2025-26 student athlete registration on the BIG TEAMS Website. Please click below for directions on how to sign off on all required forms for next year. Please note that if you have no changes, please click the reuse document link. These forms are required to be able to participate in any summer camps or contact days. If you have any questions, please contact the High School Office. Please note this is for parents that used BIG TEAMS LAST YEAR. We will send out a different document for athletes and parents signing up new student athletes.

Tomorrow is the last day for middle school students to turn in the google form for a chance to win some money towards a summer camp or summer activity.
