Frankford Safe Room

BGR-1 Families,

It is hard to believe we are into December and the 2022 calendar year is coming to a close.  We have had a very successful Fall Semester and were thrilled to cheer on our softball and football teams as they made it all the way into the final four in our state!  We also have some additional news to share pertaining to our District Report Card.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) published the state, local education agency (LEA), and building-level Report Cards for the 2021-22 school year yesterday, Thursday, December 1, 2022. The report cards are available in two different formats:

The interactive features of the Report Card Visualization/Dashboard will allow a user to:

  • Look for specific information by using the top navigation bar to view each of the reporting categories;
  • Hover over charts, graphs, tiles, and the information icon to see additional information; and
  • Switch between LEAs or other filters by clicking on dropdown menus to make new selections.

We are excited to report that our district had the highest graduation rate in the history of our district last year with a very low drop out rate!  Our ACT Composite trends above the state average and our community is getting great results while spending less on average than other districts in our state with a much lower tax rate.  As a reminder, we are always working to make our district better, and if you haven't filled out our surveys, please do that here: https://www.bgschools.k12.mo.u...

Lastly, we are nearing completion of our FEMA saferoom at Frankford Elementary.  As is our yearly practice, we will host the January Board of Education Meeting at Frankford (tentatively set for 6:30 p.m. on January 17) and invite the public to come 30 minutes early for a ribbon cutting and refreshments in the new room.  Since completion of our bond issue projects in 2019, we have completed an additional $8 million of capital improvements financed by local, federal and grant funds.  We are excited to have this most recent project nearing completion for our students!
