At last night's board meeting it was announced that Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Brown will be serving as our Assistant Principal during the 2021-2022 school year. I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to her and mention how excited that I am to have her become a part of our team.
Mrs. Brown comes to us after teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades for eleven years in the Lincoln County R-III School District. She is currently the fifth grade teacher at Hawk Point Elementary. Some of you may be familiar with Maggie as she resides in our district in the New Hartford area with her husband, Paul, and their two children, Wyatt, 4, and Kalli, 2, on their family farm, raising cattle and row crops.
Mrs. Brown comes to us with a wealth of experiences ranging from PBIS, PLCs, Curriculum writing, and two years of experience running a summer school program. She wanted me to share the following with you: I am excited to join the BGE team as assistant principal. I look forward to building trusting relationships with staff, students, families, and the community. My primary goal as assistant principal is to empower and support staff and students to reach their goals. I am thrilled to be a BOBCAT!
